Kevin Rudd has set an infectious verbal example for his fellow parliamentarians.

The loquacious PM, famous for sucking the sauce bottle and worrying over timetables for programmatic specificity, has a new rival for his title as prince of political gobbledegook — the once plain speaking union stalwart turned Government minister, Greg Combet.
‘‘The new G-Wagon is a very capable vehicle that will include detachable unit-specific modules designed for specific tasks, for example, munitions transfer, field ambulances or troop carriers,” Mr Combet (apparently) said at the launch of a new army truck.
Bet he didn’t say it five times fast.
The truck in question in question is part of a $4.6 billion plan to deliver 7,000 vehicles. Luckily, his press release yesterday promised, ‘‘this program is capitalising on the crossover benefits of utilising commercial engine and transmission technology in military vehicles.’’
Maybe one can be spared to deliver the Minister’s weighty words.
